Career guidence

We have been deeply concerned about the unemployment statistics in South Africa and across the world especially amongst the young adults that have just left school. They are challenged with inexperience and a lack of skills so the competition to find employment is extremely challenging especially if they have not managed to achieve good results in their last year of school. We want to assist them by offering them training in basic corporate workplace skills to give them an edge in the competition.

 

Alpha Education SA is launching a new division called Corporate Skills Training Academy (CSTA) in 2023. We have partnered with a reputable Canadian company to present short programmes for workplace skills development. These programmes are being adapted to suit the South African market. Our mission is to develop our young adults’ workplace and career potential by giving them a taste of their chosen industry and providing them with an advantage in their applications for employment. Many school leavers do not have any idea what they want to do, and many do not qualify for university entrance. Unemployment is extremely high across the world. To give the young adults the edge in their applications for employment, we are offering the following:

 

 

1. 1. A Career aptitude test with an optional consultation with a Career Guidance Councillor to focus their applications on the industry that they are more inclined to be successful in.

   2. A Job Search Skills short programme to prepare a CV professionally and to learn interview skills. Most school-leavers do not have any work experience. The aptitude test will be an indication of their talents which they can then include in the CV to give them the edge in their applications.

   3. We have a variety of Entry Level short programmes to choose from. These courses can be completed individually or as packages. The programmes develop entry level skills which will give an advantage in their application and the self-confidence to walk into a job knowing they will be able to understand and perform the basics.

   4. We also are offering Middle Management and specialised programmes for the more mature employee that needs to improve management skills and personal development skills.

Should your child not be planning to go to university, this is an opportunity to provide them with workplace skills to prepare them for employment and give them an edge on their CV.
